« on: February 25, 2009, 08:54:21 AM »

0n 12/3/09 i had hip resurfacing done and have been doing really well
i was able to walk 2.5 miles on treadmill and recently i walked outside for 3 miles and the following day noticed groin and fatigue burning pain at the surgical site
i have been iceing the same for about a week, recently i attempted to walk a mile and ride bike and noticed the same pain

im thinking about just taking it easy for a few days and do nothing

I think you're on the right track-take it easy and ice.  My resurfacing was 1/7/09, and yesterday I was feeling pretty good, and woke this morning to some pain.  I didn't go for a 3 mile walk, but I was working outside the house quite a bit and probably overdid things.  Our muscles are still getting back into condition, and it sounds like yours got pushed a bit too far. I would try to stretch and walk a little shorter distance to try to work off the soreness, keep icing.  good luck
