getting opinions about THR vs. BHR
« on: March 07, 2011, 06:54:58 PM »
Hello! I am a patient of Dr. Vail's in San Francisco. He has said that being a small woman with a hip dysplasia makes me poor candidate for BHR even though I am 37 years old, active and have good bone density. Given that he is listed as one of the surgeons on this site who has performed a lot of both BHRs and THRs, I hadn't thought to question his opinion. Are there others in California who I should see for a 2nd opinion re: the possibility of BHR?

Thanks!
