Registration is more difficult after software upgrade

I recently upgraded the software for the Hip Talk Discussion Group.  There has been a great deal of spammers trying to register.  The new software is set up to block spammers.  Therefore, registering is now a bit more complicated and new members will be asked to answer several easy questions to prove they are human and not robots.

I am sorry for the inconvience, but I am trying to keep the discussion group as safe as possible for people to use and free of porn, spam and ads.

If any new guests have problems registering, please drop Pat Walter a note by clicking on her email icon under her username.

No need to apologize Pat.  You have a great site and do a great service.  If a little inconvenience means keeping this site free of spammers, I am all for it.
