Good luck, sootie... The way I've heard it, the levels go down drastically with time. Sorry about the revision, but with a good THR, I've heard the prospects are very good.

You might dig around in the metals ion sub forum.  With all the talk about ASR, I don't think I've heard anyone on here talk about getting a revision from a problemed ASR.  There is one poster here that is cranking along on a snowboard with an ASR and no problems.

Sorry to hear about yours.  Hopefully you can get all taken care in short order with limited problems.

well folks, its done just arrived home to day.at the moment i am in the old recliner catching up on some e-mails.the operation went well but to quote the surgeon was very surprised at the amount of muscle damage it wasn't the news i wanted to hear. originally when i went to see my surgeon i had very little pain although my bloods were high i too was taken aback at the news,

my rehab is going to take much longer so i will have to get my head around that and not try to push to hard and undo all the great work my surgeon had to do.although i did not get any feed back from others who had  an asr revision i would like to tell anyone who is unsure about a revision please think again.i know from information on this site that plant inclination is vital on the wear and tear of the implant but my surgeon told me there was little or no damage done to the prothesis.

got to sign off now medicine cabinet is calling regards sootie

Very good start, sootie. Are they giving you any home PT or is the recovery different?
