I'm no doctor, but.....from what I understand, the only thing worth worrying about is an infection.  I hear that infections like to seek out implants, so get antibiotics if you have an infection.  Otherwise, you're fine, except for the feeling-like-crap thing.

Thank you,I can feel like crap, I'm pretty good at it now. I though it was just an infection  that I had to  worry about thought i'd ask.

Blk,

I hope I didn't offend. I really hope you don't feel bad, and recover quickly.

I was told that regular type illnesses are ok, but if you are running a fever, then you should at least call your dr - just to be safe.
Glad you are feeling better.  Now, repeat after everyone on here:  I Must Try Not To Over Do It!  ;-)  Have good weekend.

I must try not to over do it :) Sat. there was a qualification for the horses. I did not ride ( extremely difficult ) was there 12 hrs. ( 2nd time since surgery) brought the crutch, rested hourly and iced hourly and I'm holding my own. This as been a rough recovery. Thank you all for all the support

I know it's tough - like with most of us, patience is the toughest thing. Like all of us, there are setbacks when we're not.

You also had lower weight bearing, so the road back to full is longer. You'll get there, just a delay - you'll be cleared to ride in May, right? Take it easy and let it heal, I think Luann is back to full blooded riding (and then some ), so look to her experience for where you can go if you're patient with it.

Thanks. I look at lunann's post. I'm cleared in  may to ride.I was considering doing a training on April 24, what's 10 days? But I have learned my lesson :) It's nice to know that I 'm not the only one to have these issues and I'm very glad my surgery was moved up 3wk. From the original date.
