Cross legged
« on: August 12, 2012, 04:41:17 AM »
I was fixing a tyre on my Vintage Lambretta yesterday when I suddenly realised I was sitting on the floor cross legged with the wheel resting on my lap. No pain or discomfort at all. Even when I stood up. I haven't been able to do that for years. Funny how you can do things without even noticing and then realise that what you are doing is something you couldn't do pre op.
Its the little things like that which make me happy.

Congrats Jason.  How long ago did you have your surgery?

I am not close to cross legged capable yet, 10 months on one side, 6 months on the other.  Curious.

Thx

I also did the surprised look after sitting cross legged - not sure exactly when it happened, but six to eight months sounds about right.

Preaching to the choir Jas.  :) The little things were the most exciting to me.  I love it when you realize you're doing something you hadn't done in so long.  It's so cool.

Thx Jason, maybe I'll give it a try. :). Been gun shy on that for sure.

Another one of those doing without thinking is getting into bed the old way, ie not backing up to it etc.

Squatting right down so my backside is basically on the floor to get in the safe, then standing up without pulling myself up on something and groaning like I am having constipation problems. :D
