I didn't really forget. My wife and I had a real wedding anniversary in Seattle this year for my 1 year checkup with Dr. P. Last year I went under the knife a day and a half after we "celebrated" our anniversary. I was a little pre-occupied when we were trying enjoy ourselves. This year we ate excellent Chinese food from an excellent hole in the wall and just messed around downtown with no real plans. Probably one of the best anniversaries ever.
The doc says it all looks good. My images looked good too. The conversation was more geared towards the recent FDA "summit" on MoM and other interesting details of the HR world. Next checkup will be in 4 years. He said once you get past 4 years the risk of metallosis drops to basically nil (even though the risk is already super low). I recall reading that somewhere. He finished our meeting with, "they (the new hips) are yours to use and enjoy", basically implying no restrictions.
Hippy Anniversay!
