Small internal stabilizer muscles
« on: September 11, 2012, 01:14:35 PM »
I'll guess that this is common, but.....

The small stabilizer muscles on the inside of the groin on the operated hip seem to fatigue/get sore pretty easily.  For example, when putting on pants I'll balance on the operated leg while I put the opposite leg in.  If I hold this position for an additional five seconds, then when I relax the leg I feel a bit of soreness (briefly) in the groin.  I'm not worried, but am wondering of others who are otherwise active athletes still had this at 8 months.

Pretty standard, Andy - just not strong enough yet. Practice balancing on that foot, also any stretches for your lower back, remember that it's not just the balance on that leg, but also how tight the other side of your body is as you pull that leg up.

It's a synergistic whole....

Always wanted to use synergistic in a sentence  8)

Has anyone had groin pain or just some stiffness in the opposite groin that was not operated on? the more PT I do it seems to have effected the other side.
