Number 1 versus Number 2
« on: October 18, 2012, 08:02:11 PM »
I am officially scheduled to become a member of the bilat club in early December. For those of you sporting two HRs, which surgery/recovery did you feel went best: number 1, or number 2? Of course, everyone's recovery is different. I'm just curious.

Both, kind of. I know that helps not one bit, but the first felt better because once I saw the benefits, I got real up about the whole thing.

The second one, I knew a lot more about what to do, to expect, etc. The only down thing about it was that at about three months I messed up my toe and it took about three months to clean it up; otherwise, I've got to say the second would have been better.

Me too!!! (will be bilat 12/12/12!) I am excited, but know that each surgery can be vastly different. My first was so easy-- I'm hoping for the best!! :)

No guarantee, Mary Ellen, but I found that my second time was pretty similar to the first.

A bit more work to get the second stronger, but that may be because the first benefited from being in PT twice.
