I'm wondering how common this is.  Occasionally, when I move my operated hip around I can feel, what I think are muscles, moving around, sliding around each other perhaps.  I'm not sure what exactly is happening, just that I'm can feel abnormal hip area activity.

I recognize what you are talking about. It was fairly common for me at first, and has become dramatically less common over time, though I still occasionally feel it. Not painful at all; much as you described.

Hi Rosie, I'm 2+ years out and still feel subtle shifting/moving muscles and ligaments( I'm assuming) quite often. Usually not painful or a big deal. Just always reminding me that it's there. Still loving it, though. I think as long as these "feelings" are not really painful or disruptive it is probably normal for some hippies. Check with your Dr of course, if it's really bothersome. Hope this eases your mind. Lu
