« on: April 15, 2013, 02:31:28 PM »
I am three days out from a bilateral HR.  My right foot tracks in a bit as I walk.  any thoughts?
Thanks

Kelly:

I only had my right hip done, but initially my right foot turned in as I walked.  I focused on keeping my foot straight as I walked on my crutches, and it corrected itself after the first week.

Kelly,
When sitting flat on the floor with my legs extended out, my first hip/leg use to flop over and the foot would almost lay flat on the floor before surgery.  After surgery it stuck straight up with just a little turn in.  After a  couple of months it has turned out a little to a more natural position.

My second hip, after surgery, was straight up with a little turn out and it is still there after 4 months.  What I guess I am saying is it will adjust on you and straighten out as you heal.
