Loss of Feeling/Numbness 16 Months Post-op
« on: September 20, 2013, 12:08:05 PM »
Up until last week things have gone perfectly - no pain, no problems of any sort. Then last week I began to feel what I can best describe as a loss of sensation, almost a little bit of numbness running down the operated leg. It's weird - there is no pain of any sort and I haven't done anything unusual but it just started.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this and how was it treated?

I would not be surprised at numbness due to nerve damage immediately post-op, but after such a long time it seems surprising. Maybe not connected, of course.

I assume you are checking with your surgeon?

Yeah, Stephen, I agree with Granton - time to check in with the surgeon. It may some sort of inflamation of the nerve.
