4 days post-op and all is well (so far)

I just had my left hip resurfaced on the 18th and so far everything has gone well. Dr. Schmalzried at the JRI in Los Angeles performed the procedure.

I want to thank you all for the information and support you've given to me in taking this leap of faith. Much appreciated.

Congratulations!! Seems there are a bunch of us that all decided to get our hips done just before the holiday. I'm 11 days post op on my second hip. Glad you are feeling well and hope everything continues to go well.

I second Juno's comments, having had surgery the same day she did, and  the other hip 2 days prior.  You'll be starting to feel a lot better every day.  Thinking back to one week ago it's like night and day. By this time next week you'll likely be off pain meds and walking farther and more confidently every day.  Everything from getting in and out of bed or a chair to using the bathroom will be so much easier.   Best of luck on your recovery!
