Does Medicare cover resurfacing?
« on: June 06, 2014, 09:18:54 PM »
I had my left BHR back in 2012. I anticipate that at some point I'll need surgery on my right hip. Of course, I realize that I may not be considered to be an appropriate candidate for resurfacing, perhaps because of my age (I'm 66). BUT, if I am found to be a resurfacing candidate, does anybody know whether or not resurfacing is covered by Medicare?? I've been looking online for a while, but I haven't found the answer.

Just saw this. I've already had both done, but it is a good question going forward. Don't know but I'd think calling up the agency responsible would get some info.
