Tightness on front of opposite hip/thigh
« on: June 05, 2015, 04:34:35 PM »
I am a month post op from right BHR.  It is going great.  Sometimes I get a tight feeling in the front and sometimes side of my left hip.  IDK if this is from compensation issues or sitting down or what.  It is not painful and I have great range of motion on that hip.  Some days it happens and others it does not.  Has anyone else had this issue?

Could be several things - the muscles atrophied over time and are now being brought back into line by the new and improved hip. There is scar tissue which sometimes comes into play.

I'd bring it up to your doctor, just to calm your concerns, but most likely just part of becoming readjusted to a healthy hip.

Perhaps also a consequence of now having a level pelvis, if any leg lengthening occurred, and so referred pains and new stretched parts or flexed parts getting used to their new home ...
