Symptoms of a failing BHR?
« on: June 06, 2015, 12:54:02 PM »
Hello
I am about 4 years post-op for my bilateral BHR. I had a great recovery and no problems at all. I often forget I ever had the surgery. But, a week ago I was hiking in the mountains and crossed several steams. I fell a couple of times and had to jump several feet between rocks a few times as well. I also drank very little water that day. Two days after this hike I noticed that my left hip was squeaking when I crouched very low to check underneath the car. This was unnerving as I never experienced this before. I thought perhaps it was dehydration. So I started to drink a lot of water.
Since then it has only squeaked a few times when I've done this same range of motion. But, it seems like I'm some getting pain in my left groin and some muscular discomfort in my thigh.

Does anyone have a similar story? Since I had such a great post-op recovery and 4 years of trouble free hips, this has me rather worried.

Thank you for any advice

Peter
