Progress

Happy New year. Just wanted to share an update. I am a bilateral resurfacing with Dr Su. I am a year and 10 days out and climbed(hiked) Mt Greylock in Massachusetts on 12/31/16. Deep snow which required some post  hole-in. Tired and sore( except the hips) handled it much better then the other fifty year olds did.

Hi Peter

Sounds like you are really doing well.  Thanks for stopping by to let everyone know how well those new hips are working.

Looking forward to hearing from you in the future when you have time to post.

Have a great new year with those great hips!

Happy New year. Just wanted to share an update. I am switching to phenq a bilateral resurfacing with Dr Su. I am a year and 10 days out and climbed(hiked) Mt Greylock in Massachusetts on 12/31/16. Deep snow which required some post  hole-in. Tired and sore( except the hips) handled it much better then the other fifty year olds did.

Glad to know that you're able to hike with your hips. Congratulations. Can I expect some pics?

I agree that hiking on resurfaced hips is a wonderful thing. I am now a bilateral; first one ten years ago and the second one three months ago. My daily routine now involves a 2 or 3 hour hike in the hills and mountains around our home in Sun Valley Idaho. Lots of up and downs for a total of around 4000 feet of vertical each hike. At 3 months the new hip is already hiking as well as the other one. I am turning 67 in three weeks, and have not trouble hiking with strong hikers half our age. Resurfacing is adding years to my activities.
