Just ran my first post-surgery 5K!
« on: March 18, 2018, 01:35:35 PM »
It's been 11 months since my left hip resurfacing with Dr. Pritchett and for the last 4-6 weeks, I've been running about 3x/week progressing from 3 to 5 miles per session.  Today, I ran my first post-surgery competitive race - a 5K - at 24:42 (7:51 pace)!  All of the glute/leg muscle strengthening and the switch to a fore/mid foot running gait appear to be paying off.  It feels great to be back out there running competitively!
