Hip # 2

Update, hip #2 done.  Hoping to get discharged today. The second one went a little smoother than the first.  It’s like magic, they give you an I don’t care drug, and the next thing you know they are trying to wake you up, and it is all over. Now it is all about pain management, my first hip that was done on Wednesday feels pretty good right now, it was my worst one, but now it is the best one. Waiting for PT to help get me moving.  Also going to get an x-ray to get a look at the placement. Dr.Gross told me the first one was perfect, I hoping,he says the same thing about the second one.

Made it out of the hospital, all packed up and ready for the trip home. Had a good nights sleep at the hotel. My poor wife has been a trooper, helping me with all of this.  It is a challenge having both hips done at the same time, but I’m happy that I did it.  Pain has been manageable with a plethora of drugs, looking forward to getting off them. I’ve still got a few more ugly days ahead, so I’m targeting Wednesday to start backing down on the pain meds.
