Dr. Bose - not able to get a reply
« on: December 27, 2021, 03:54:12 AM »
Hello,

I was diagnosed with late stage Avascular Necrosis (AVN) or osteonecrosis of the femur neck 2 months ago. As I understand, Dr. Bose is the best specialist for this type of pathology, however after first successful reply from Dr. Bose (he asked me to send xrays), I am yet to get an answer a month and four reminders later  :( How can I get in touch with him? Actually, the contact information on his site is also not working - the contact form does not work and the whatsapp profile does not exist.

Is there a working contact info, is it a worrying sign of considering an operation in India?

Ok, I understood nobody had a recent experience with Dr. Bose, so I am posting here my update, maybe somebody will find it useful:

1 - Sent an email to enquiry@simshospitals.com (his hospital) -- did not get an answer (1.5 weeks and counting)
2 - Got in touch with simshospitals.com through their Facebook -- did not reply to my first message, did reply to the second and promised to forward my request to ortho dept, now I am reminding them that there is still no answer daily for the last 3 days (Their facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/simshospitals/ ). At least there is an answer.
3 - Will also try the old-school way by calling and trying to reach the secretary of Dr. Bose this week and get a working email where I can send the x-rays

Never thought it would be so difficult to get a reply from a business enterprise.. oh well..

Hi Senna,

Just letting you know I originally tried to contact Dr. Bose but when he finally replied I was disappointed with his response.

The following is just a snippet from one of my previous posts:
1. Emailed Dr. Bose but was surprised with his reply.  He informed that he would not be sure if I could have my hip resurfaced until he examined in India.  Travelling to India and not knowing if will get a Hip Resurfacing or Replacement seemed too risky so I declined.  It is odd that the other surgeons [Dr. Brooks & Dr. De Smet] both agreed that I would be a good candidate for Hip Resurfacing [from looking at my x-rays].

I ended up going to Dr. De Smet for my surgery [amazing].  If you go to Dr. Bose, make sure you confirm everything; you don't want any surprises.
