I know all doctors have different set of protocol, but how many days/weeks before surgery are you supposed to give your blood?

In my case, I believe I gave two units, two weeks apart.  The second unit was given at least a week before surgery.

If you doctor uses "Cell Saver" you don't have to give any. Ask him about it.
