Hi There,
I've had a few postings on the both Pat's and Vick's group sites in the past
few months, corresponded on a private level with Pat, Vicky and a couple of
other great people.
Just want to say how much I appreciate the enlightenment, sharing of experiences
and good humour.
I'll be a full HR member next Saturday, having left hip resurfaced with
Professor Cobb (250 procedures)in London England. This surgery will be using his
(Acrobot)computer navigated approach and the device a Finsbury Adept( for those
who are unfamiliar with this device it's the company who helped
develop/manufacture the Birmingham pre-S&N-excellent 3 year results with both
Australian and UK registries).
Not really an email person by nature (despite addiction in last few months
keeping abreast of the HR postings, news, video interviews, conference
information etc since activity levels have decreased), but I will try and
provide updates re- my progress and experience as I feel we can all gain from HR
approaches and possible developments from around the world.
Oh yeah, I wanted to say to some who write about the 'How long shall I wait'
scenarios, that I left it too long and just luckily inside the window and since
I had my consultation 8 weeks ago deterioration has been dramatic (although a
friend said hip knows it's having the op!)

Wishing you the best of luck. The clock is ticking for me as well..expecting the letter with my pre op appointment soon. Positive thoughts  ;D...tis all we can control ..The best is yet to come!
