Snap, crackle, and pops. Who gets them? When?

Mine sure did!  Mostly walking up the stairs I could feel and hear the crackling and grinding of the bone-on-bone action in my right hip.  The advent of these sounds and feelings was about 6 months prior to my resurfacing operation; the wearing away of my cartilage was rather sudden at the end.  The other times I could sense this crackling were when I put all my weight on my bad leg / hip to put my sock on my left foot- the noises were pretty audible!

The good news is that after the operation those sounds and fellings are gone!  The pain is gone as well- I will hit 6 weeks on Monday.

:)  I get them in the same situtations.  It is amazing how quickly you can go from bad to worse.  Glad your recovery is going well.  At 6 weeks you should be over the hard part.
