How long does it take for the steri- strips and the two pieces of what looks like fishing line to fall off? I'm at 4 weeks and some of the steri- strip is off but this white fishing line stuff is hanging strong.  Do you pull it off or does it fall off by itself?
Thanks
Joe

hey joe, my doctor had me trimming mine close to incision, i had a little infection at the very top where it rubbed my jeans, cleared up fast, seemed like the last to heal was a spot the size o a pea with fishline sticking out, then gone.. but better check with your doc. brad.

Thanks Brad,  I seem to have the same thing going on.  I will call the doctor.
Thanks again'

The fishing line stuff finally fell off at 5 weeks and a couple days.  I have no infection, and the wound looks great.  I have been rubbing vitamin e oil on it a couple times a day as the Dr. recommended.
