Dr. Montijo in West Palm Beach

I'm so sorry to bother you at home, or where ever this goes. I have an appointment again to see a Dr. Montijo in West Palm Beach tomorrow. and am having a hard time trying to post a question on your site. Maybe I'm just too tired to try to figure it out. Anyway, I heard the FDA only approved a 4mm incriment in size for the BHR here in the USA. I'm very concerned that once opened up the size will be too big and they will have to do a THR, which I do not want. Have you heard anything about the FDA approving the smaller sizes that will better fit the smaller boned person. Again, sorry to bother you at home.

I am sorry not to have answered your email.  My Mother has been in the ICU since July1 and has just been taken off the ventilator.  I have been pretty busy visiting with here and everything else has been less important.

One reason many of the overseas experienced doctors often use the Wright C+ instead of the BHR is because it comes in more sizes.  They size has to be perfect or you could end up with a shorter or longer leg than normal. 

If you surgeon is not willling to talk with you to discuss this issue and just determined to give you a THR, I would find another surgeon.  You should get what you want and also be given answers to your questions.
