tightness in non-operated leg caused by leg length change?

I had my left hip resurfaced 2 years ago. When I started exercising about 6 month post op,
I had lots of tightness in my right leg, especially in my quads. I still have pain,
even after lots of PT.

Prior to the operation my left leg was about 1cm shorter than my right, not sure what the difference is now.
Is a change in leg length likely to cause this sort of tightness in my "good" leg?
If so, will it sort itself out?
