Anyone can take any set of data and make it say what they want it to say. The fact is, there is not a long enough or broad enough record to determine the success of MOM implants. I think most of us who choose HR, use a series of logistical and practical deductions based upon the life we want to lead.

The fact of the matter is, we will likely NEVER know which is better in the THR vs. HR shootout... because very few people will ever push their THR as hard as those of us with HR will push our devices. If we can get thousands of volunteers to undergo each procedure, eat the same foods, live the same lifestyle, do identical activities... then we might have some real data to work with.

I think the thr vs hr debate is a non starter. Stress shielding is a fact. There are also big changes to anatomy and gait and mechanical function. These are far less with resurfacing as it try's to replicate natural anatomy as closely as possible

Why dont they just compare the number of miles run by people with HRs to those with THRs - That's all i want to see. I bet we'll win.
