I have been  for checkup on right and got a telling off from Mr McMinn again for buggering up his nice BHR he put in but said it still hadn't moved and appeared stable.
My left hip which has been giving me more and more greif apparently is not Arthritic which is good but I have now been referred to Mr Richard Villar for keyhole. Think its my Labrum causing the pain and constant clunking noises in my left.

That´s an interesting development - I don´t suppose you anticipated that.

Well let´s hope that the keyhole intervention can clear up the problem with your left hip.

If Mr McMinn has pointed you towards Mr Richard Villar I´m hopeful for you that it will.

Mr villar is supposed to be one of the best hip arthroscopy surgeons in the world! Your in great hands!!

Danny have you had hip arthroscopy surgery with R Villar or have you seen his patient outcome figures?
I have found a website called FAI Hip Impingement Awareness ,  WWW.myfaihippain.blogspot.co.uk that has quite a lot of information on impingement and also mentions a book which can be obtained. (This book is also mentioned on Jeremy Latham's website). 
One of the posts questions why Professor Ernest Schilders is not mentioned on this website WWW.ernestschilders.com.  This surgeon includes outcome figures on his website.  I have spoken to one of Prof. Schilders patients in the past (he has a list of testimonials on his website) and she spoken highly of him.

Happy hopper I had arthroscopy prior to my bhr and no it wasn't with  mr Vilar but I've spoken to many surgeons who have all said if they needed arthroscopy on their hips they would go to him. I tend to take peer recommendations highly.

As far as I am concerned if MCMinn recommends I go to another surgeon then I pressume there is a good reason. He said he used to do scoping himself but this guy is the top man so he is referring me.
I trust the experience of the experts and after cocking up my BHR initially I am doing whatever I am told this time.
If McMinn tells me he has a pet unicorn then I will believe him ;) Well maybe not.

I am sure that Mr Villar will, therefore, as he is so highly recommended by other surgeons, provide you with his success outcome figures and complication details in writing before your procedure!?
