Hi Everyone
i had bhr performed by dr clarke on 12/3/08. i have been doing great until last week
I went to pt and have been doing strenghting and aerobics and walking
i was able to build up my stamina walking from 1/2 mile to 2.5 miles
recently i have developed pain and numbness a t the surgical site and some numbness into my toes
it feels like the leg is fatigued
does anybody have any sugestions
will this go away

My non-medical impression is that you may have somehow irritated your sciatic nerve:

Perhaps some localized swelling or irritation is putting pressure on the nerve.  You can see from the link that the sciatic nerve passes directly behind your incision site.  This could be happening in your hip and being perceived as numbness in your toes.  At three months post-op you are certainly still in the process of healing.  Stitches are still dissolving and the area is still in a state of flux.

Another possibility is that you have injured your back or are walking with an unusual gait that has put some pressure on the sciatic nerve.

In any case, it sounds to me like the numbness in your toes is referred pain, not a site of actual injury, so indications are that you've irritated a nerve, either the sciatic nerve or some other one.

Bionic's guess sounds very reasonable.  You could have irritated your sciatic nerve, try some nsaids, lot's of rest maybe even hit the whirlpool some.

I'll second Chuck's recommendation.  Anti-inflammatories are likely to help.  I have a pinched nerve in my neck that responds very well to ibuprofen.  Remember that Tylenol doesn't count.

well its been a
week  since my recent bout of pain and numbness intoes
ihave been back to pt and they tested my back because  the numbness to the toes
back tests came back good
they think maybe i have bursitis, i tried riding bike for 15 minutes and pain and discomfort came back
