just had the surgery, pain is intense and not controlled by meds. How can I tell if this is normal or if the body is trying to reject the implant

Pat Walter

Hi
If you are in the hospital and have great pain you really need to insist that the doctor, nurses and staff listen to you and get you meds that work for you.  Sometimes people don't react properly to certain drugs.

This is a must to talk to your doctor.  You should not be in great pain if you are in the hospital.

If you are released, you still need to talk to your doctor and get meds.  If you just had surgery, there is no way to tell if your body is rejecting the implant.  As far as I know, it doesn't happen that way.

Please talk to your doctor.
