Hi all, I am 5 months post op & all going extremely well except for one thing. I have a "swelling" still apparent on the outside of my left thigh - it looks a bit like a saddlebag thigh - most unfortunate. The surgeon says it feels a bit like fat but may also be swelling due to long disolving stitches in there. Considering the other thigh does not have this "fat" does anyone have any idea whether this is normal & will gradually resolve itself, or should I be doing something else.
I exercise daily, walking, swimming & riding my bike plus PT exercises too.
Any info gratefully received.

Hi, I'm Faffie from Holland. I had my surgery 3 month ago. Same problem on my right. Look under the topic swelling and you'll find my answer. In my case it seems to be scartissue after my GP made an echography of the "lump". He says ultrasound  by the Physical Therapist may have a good effect and streching also.
