Hi

I don't understand what 8/52 post op means.

If you are 6 weeks or more into your recovery, I would guess you doctor might let you sleep on the floor, but be very careful how you get up. I am not a doctor, so it would be best to check with your doctor.  I have no way of knowing any special problems you might have and am not a doctor. You certainly will be breaking the 90 degree rule.  It would be terrible to cause a dislocation or femur neck fracture struggling to get up from the floor.

Be careful and always ask your surgeon about special problems or activities you are about to do unless you are 6 months or more post op - or have been released to do anything you wish.

Amen! I think the thing that eluded me the longest was being able to comfortably get up from the floor. My cats were beginning to think I didn't like them anymore :) In my head that was the most stress I could put on my new hip.
