Does anyone have any information on the survivorship of the first HR from back when they first started in 1991?  Found plenty of info on the Birmingham HR but not much else.

The minimum 20-year follow-up study by Pritchet and Townley is a pretty commonly referenced study.  I believe it's here on this website.  I'm not sure when it was written.  It has a good history on the evolution of resurfacing.  I think one of the main points is that MOM is much more durable and longer-lasting compared to the poly surfaces that were used prior to the 90s.  I don't know what MOM device they were reporting on in the paper.

Wright Medical has a sweet reference list on their website under the physicians page and there are certainly a few papers that look at 5 to 7 year follow-ups, but longer then that might not exist, specifically for the C+.  There are some references to McMinn and the BHR, but I didn't see anything on follow-ups greater than 9 years.

I suspect that Smith and Nephew has a similar reference list, but I haven't looked yet.
LBHR 2/22/11, RBHR 8/23/11 - Pritchett.
