I had my left hip, birmingham hip re-surface in Sept  2009 and had a pronounced limp afterwards.

I am pleased to state that i am now walking much better,it has taken around one and a half years.

Six years ago my right hip was resufaced and I was walking without a limp after 3 months.

I am now 64,so maybe the difference in healing time was age related, but i hope this information will be useful to those having a slow recovery.

Having two good hips means I feel 20 years younger and can play golf and live a normal life without pain.
