I'm a trailor boat owner and very eager to get out fishing & diving again. If you're a boatie, you'll know that a days fishing/diving coupled with launching & retrieving a boat is actually quite a physical day.
My question is - When did you get back to these activities?

I dove at about 10 weeks.  It was great to not get out of the water limping back to the car.  And it was quite a climb.

Dan, You did well to get back diving that early. I'm at 10 weeks now but still feel it might be too early for me. I don't think I'm far away & have been doing a bit of pool work which should help. I'm taking a pretty conservative approach but are itching to get our as it's summer here & the best time for fishing & diving!

Just to update this thread, I did my first (free) dive last weekend at just over 4 months. I was probably ready at just 3 months but circumstances didn't allow. Happy to report no issues at all - apart from trying to get my 7mm wetsuit on! I'm sure it's shrunk, although I have had it since I was 27... really need a new one :P
Great day out - landed plenty of decent snapper, kawhai & got a few paua (abalone) whilst in the water. ;D

Nice going Kiwi.  It sounds awesome.

I helped with my first open water class this weekend.  It was really nice to walk around with all that gear and not be in pain.  I kept marveling at how wonderful it felt not limping all weekend.

Keep up the good work.
