I don't know why but it does taste better in Dublin. Maybe they get the water straight from the Liffey or the good craic helps.

I've only had one pint of it, ten years ago in a pub in Cork called "The night the goat broke loose"-no other drink seemed right in a pub with that name!
I've never seen a drink prepared with such pride-let it settle, top-up,settle, level the froth, top up -then delivered to the the table, very nice too.

Will have to visit Dublin as well, then. It sounds like something worth experiencing.

Guiness doesn't travel well. I had a pint last time I was in the states and it was rank.

I think that's true of all beer and such. Not like wine, the fresher the better.

51 weeks today! Wow how time has flown! Well the hip is great I've been working really long hours as usual 72-84 per week and been hitting the gym when ever possible and it's still getting better!

Wow, they are long hours and hitting the gym too. Hat of to you mate. Sound like you are getting closer to where you want to be.

How are the long walks now, Danny?

I'd say I could walk 5 miles easy enough hern I did 30 mins on the treadmill at the gym last night at 6.5km and a good incline hip was fine. ITB was a bit tight but then I've been on my feet so much of late

True... Have you used the roller lately? That may help the IT.

Used it a couple of times I don't find it that useful for the ITB. My mate is coming over Sunday to do some ART on me ;D

One good thing about being a hippy is that its a unique club where everyone gets 2 genuine birthdays a year  ;)

Here's hoping 1 year finds you where you want to be. Your posts around the time of your surgery were among the first I read on here and you gave me a lot of hope and belief.

Beleave it or not my BHR celebrates it's 1 year today and Mr Treacy is 1 year older today too! He operated on me on his birthday! :)

UPDATE
56 weeks yesterday and still improving ;D had some myofacial and art done this week and I can really tell!  :)

Thanks hern. I'm sure I could be pretty much back in shape now if I wasn't working 70hr weeks. But the hip seems great so I'm well pleased with that! I just hope it lasts forever now!
