Having experienced an amazing recovery to date; I had a minor set back for the first time at week 24! After a 45 mile week including a 10 hill attack 11 mile training run I experienced some pain and sensitivity. It appears to be at the very top and to the front of the hip. I still do not have full range of movement as in knee to shoulder however, The pain only occurs upon running and even when walking. I cannot replicate the pain by bending the joint. I took several days off running and walked slowly and x2 ibuprofen x3 daily. I returned to very slow running and walking and managed 7 miles today without pain however the joint is sensitive and does not like me applying weight to it after sitting or lying down. I will be exceedingly careful for the next few weeks and I think it feels like a nerve or soft tissue aggravation. I must stress!!! Take it very easy and even after 24 weeks recovery is still a long way ahead!
