I live near Atlanta and had an accident in Tuscaloosa Alabama. I was transported to UAB in Birmingham where my hip was "put back together". The surgeon there was great, I wish she did hip resurfacing! Has anyone had ant experience with doctors in either Georgia or Alabama, both good and bad?

If your insurance and logistics of your life allow, consider Dr. Gross in Columbia, SC.  The drive would be a little under four hours.  I drove almost eight hours one way twice to have him resurface one of my hips last year and then the other one this year.  I would have driven from California if I had to just to have him perform my surgeries.
