I had the same question.  I don't even see an option to log out anymore.  I usually log on only when I turn on my computer, rather than staying continually logged on.

I have been working trying to install a video chat program that works with the SMF software.  Not able to get it to work.  I had switched to the default layout instead of the core layout - which both looked the same to me.  I switched it back to core layout.

I can see the logout button at the end of the main menu:  HOME HELP SEARCH ADMIN MODERATE - ETC. IT IS AT THE VERY END where it has always been for me.  Sometimes I can't get it to log me out, but I think it is because I am the admin.  This stuff is very, very complex with tons of php code and pages of code to make it work. 

Let me know if you don't see it. 

I worry everytime I upgrade that something will go wrong.  THe backups are so huge, I have to have GoDaddy do them for me instead of downloading them to my computer.  Wish I knew more about programing PHP.
