Hello  :)

My first post here.  I just got home from the hospital on Tues. from my hip resurfacing surgery and happy to report all went well!  Dr. James Pritchett performed my surgery at Swedish hospital in Seattle.  My two quick questions: 1) any suggestions on natural supplements that help the healing process? I am taking vitamin c (500mg x6 a day= 3000mg) which I know is great for  wound healing. also taking Magnesium, Zinc, vitamin D and DHA. I also drink Ionized water - very good for hydration and cleansing/healing the cells.

2)  any recommendation on PT's in the Seattle/Redmond/ Issaquah areas?  The one I have found thus far to have a good reputation is Peaks Spine?

A little back ground on myself, if it is helpful to providing recommendations:
I am 48 years young, was a very active triathlete (looking forward to getting back at it once I am healed  :) went into surgery in great health - came out of surgery well - and am off of the pain meds. (my body doesn't tolerate them well) and am not in much pain at all now, just stiff and "heavy legged" which seems to get better the more I do my post-op PT exercises:)

Thanks & have a great day!

Monica

Congratulations on your resurfacing by the brilliant Dr Pritchett.

I didn't take any supplements, simply ate healthy, well balanced meals, and I feel as though I've repaired and recovered fine so far.

Someone will soon offer helpful answers to your questions.

Be extra patient and extra good with yourself as the weeks unfold.

Good luck wth your recovery.
