DrNos Bilateral Hip Resurfacing 2019
Sep 21, 2019 Bilateral Hip Resurfacing.
This is the first two weeks of my recovery/rehab process.
The first few days were really tough. I have worked at quad and glute activation since I woke up. Walking since the first night.
The worst part of my first two weeks was the spinal head ache/reaction I had when the epidural didn’t close properly (It required a trip to the ER and a blood patch to close it). That set me back a few days.
Mostly I am amazed by how much less pain I have vs pre-operative. Currently the hardest part for me has been finding a comfortable position to sleep as I am usually a side sleeper and I have a 5.5 inch (15cm incision on either posteriolateral hip). The spasms are kind of odd and come and go at random.
