I had my left hip resurfaced by Dr. Schemitsch in Nov./08 The operation went exactly as he and his staff predicted. This guy is not a teddy-bear. However, prior to surgery, he took time to answer fully all questions. After surgery he attended as I awoke and was available for any questions. He followed up again on his ’rounds’ on 3 occasions. After surgery I had surprisingly little pain. In recovery, his staff were available to answer my concerns. The surgery exceeded my expectations. Eight weeks post op, I’m able to cycle and walk virtually limp-free. To date, surgery was an excellent outcome.

In my view, Dr S. is an excellent surgeon, who also has first-class surgical colleagues.
