Dr. Kenneth Wolf’s Bilateral Hip Resurfacing with Dr. Rector 2013
I had a (Birmingham) hip replacement in January 2013, and now, four months later, I am playing high intensity singles tennis—without pain or physical restriction. I feel very lucky, and I give credit to Dr. Rector and his assistant Stacey for the successful surgery and professional treatment. My recovery was smooth, with little pain (thanks in part to the pain killers the first two weeks). I had two weeks of in-home physical therapy, and two weeks after that I was walking and riding a stationary bicycle. I progressed to outdoor bicycle riding after the first two months and then to some light tennis. And today, four months later, I have no restrictions or limitations.
I should mention that I had a (Birmingham) replacement on the other side two years ago when I turned 60, with similar results and no pain or restrictions two years later. I have the highest regard for Dr. Rector and would recommend him without reservation.
