“I am a 44 year old Madison man who was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in my right hip. After several surgeons bounced me around with excuses of “too young” or “deal with the pain” I took the bull by the horns. A couple of weeks of research provided me with a local solution- Dr. Rogerson. Some phone calls from PCP’s later I was under care from the best! Being a prime candidate for the Birmingham was music to my ears, relief was on the horizon. Fast forward to today, my final night at HipHab. Thank you, thank you, thank you! My life can be taken off hold and proceed as directed. The professionalism and bedside manner throughout the entire process was truly unbelievable. Thank you Dr. John, Renee and Joanna. You all truly show your love for the job and the patient. I truly feel you want all to heal and return to their lives and we can tell that passion is real and valid-thank you. Thank you to HipHab- Desiree and your guidance and patience; your input was of great value. Gabby- your tips and pep talks also inspired thought. Berta and Rhonda for seamlessly providing our apartment facilities. Thank you all! Tonight I will sleep well knowing tomorrow is the first day of the rest of my life- Thank you all!” -Jonathan Uttech 6/27/11

“I cannot say enough on how my life changed and improved after my right BHR in June of 2011. I went from hearing every excuse from 4 different surgeons on why they could not or would not operate to being a perfect candidate for BHR with Dr. Rogerson. After nearly 14 months of constant pain, within 2 months of my initial visit with Dr. Rogerson the surgery was completed. The entire process (initial consultation, pre-op authorization, rehab at the hospital, rehab at “hip-hab”, rehab at my insurance carrier’s facility, and all the follow-up at Dr. Rogerson’s office) were perfectly planned and executed. I also need to mention his surgical acuity is second to none. My incision healing was incredibly quick with absolutely no complications and barely a visible scar today.
The joy of hopping out of bed every morning pain free is something I had truly hoped to see again and with the help of Dr. Rogerson and his ENTIRE staff, I now am able to do this every morning. Becoming active again is a gift Dr. Rogerson and his staff have returned to me. Starting with small attainable goals (like walking, not limping) to moderate life-style activities (swimming, golf, and softball), Dr. John asks you where you want to end up and shows you how to get there. You need to do the work and put in the time necessary for a full recovery, but all the tools and resources are available to you. Dr. Rogerson also wants you to meet long term recovery goals (like climbing to the top of the bluff at Devil’s Lake) and enjoys your successes along the way (pictures from the top of pyramids at Mayan ruins in the Yucatan of Mexico or hikes into the Grand Canyon-and back out!!).
All in all, I cannot begin to thank the entire team Dr. Rogerson has assembled and am eternally grateful for the new outlook on my life and the second chance to being active that Dr. Rogerson has presented to me.
Thank you, thank you, thank you ALL.”
Sincerely,
Jon Uttech Right BHR, June 2011
