Peter Bell’s Hip Resurfacing with Mr. McMinn 2008

Peter Bell maintains his busy and active life thanks to a hip resurfacing operation in 2008. Since the procedure, the keen runner completed the Everest marathon in 2011. Peter had a left Birmingham Hip Resurfacing (BHR) operation undertaken by Mr McMinn.

Adventurous sports enthusiast Peter Bell has a range of impressive achievements including hill running and mountain biking. The ambitious runner was aiming to complete the Everest Marathon but the pain in his hip had become severe and it started taking days to recover.

In 2008, Mr McMinn performed a left Birmingham Hip Resurfacing (BHR) procedure on Peter who, after a period of rehabilitation, is now back to racing.

Peter couldn’t be happier, continuing his very active lifestyle. He is chairman of the local running club and his main competitive sport is mountain running in which he partakes twice a week. “Mr McMinn has made many things possible in my life which I will never forget.”

In 2011, Peter achieved his Everest Marathon ambition. “I wanted to live my life to its full potential and not wait for a day that may never come. I am now living life to the full and fulfilling those dreams my previous consultant and my GP said I would never be able to do.”
