Dear Patricia Walter,
My name is Maria Litzenberger, I am German and am 64 years
old. After
suffering for 10 years of arthritis in my left hip (the last
2 years have
been so bad that I hardly could sleep from pain and hardly
could walk)
I made the decision to get an operation.
The operation was done at Wockhardt Hospital in Mumbai,
India. My surgeon
was Dr. Malhan. What was so exceptional about my operation
is that Dr.
Malhan did not operate me the classical way, meaning a
complete hip
replacement but after checking the Xrays made the hip
resurfacing method. I
loved his way of thinking, which was: why damage a bone the
structure of
which is healthy if you can operate just the parts which are
damaged.
In the hospital I started to walk already the third day
after the operation
without any help. I had three times a day physiotherapy by
Dr. Ritu. That
was the 6th of September 2005.
Today, not even 2 years after the operation I walk like a
young woman again,
and even better I will go for that famous walk : The Lykian
Way, in Turkey.
507 km long. In order to do so, I condition my body since
three months now,
walking the mountains every day for 2.5 hours a day, walking
15 km.
I will have photographs taken of me while doing that walk which I
will be happy
to send to you. Could you please be so kind as to send me
your address for
sending them to you.
If you have any questions please ask
best regards from a happy former patient <p ” align=”justify”> Maria Litzenberger
