Tom BHR Dr. Feldman 2011
Patricia – Add another 77 year old guy to the list! Had my right hip
resurfaced by Dr. Feldman at Englewood Hospital, Englewood, NJ on
Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14th.
Went from the hospital after 2-3 days to a live-in rehab for 11
days and now I’m home with in-house rehab. Everyone says I’m coming
along fine.
Thank you for your encouragement. Hope to be walking pain-free on
my own in a few weeks and then I hope to be back on the field
playing softball and baseball this Summer!
Continued Success….Regards….Tom

Here’s an update
from that March email. I went for my 12th week post-op last week and
Dr. Feldman said I’m moving along fine. Still have swelling in my
right thigh and knee but it hasn’t stopped me from playing 10 games
of softball already! I have absolutely NO PAIN when I walk and the
doc says I can start running in about a month….not bad for an old
guy of 77!
I head out the end of June for Houston to play on
the New Jersey Over 75 State Softball Team in the 2011 Senior
Olympics. I’m having a ball after waiting over 3 years for my heart
to qualify for the operation. Last Thursday I even went to my first
BASEBALL practice…but I took it easy.
Hope all is well with you. Plan on getting in at
least 100+ games this year! Let’s go SurfaceHippies!!!!
Regards….Tom
