Marc Earnshaw Bilateral BMHR Mr. McMinn 2006
As I stand today my bilateral BMHR had been a complete success – I can’t even remember how terrible my life was before I had this done 🙂 It’s over a year since I had hip no 2 done and over 18 months since the first. I had very bad bilateral AVN and that is the reason Mr. McMinn decided I should go for the new BMHR device. I have to say I am really glad I did 🙂 From my conversations with Mr. McMinn, the device was invented with AVN in mind as he was seeing young people with the problems like myself. I guess only time will tell how successful these devices will prove to be. But so far so good !Marc Earnshaw I was actually the first of the second batch – guinea pig numereo uno so to speak – they even got the implant specially made for my first one as they hadn’t had a production run 🙂 They had an initial clinical trial of 13 patients two years previous with a slightly different device which I think is highlighted in a lecture on the BMHR on the web site. The device and tooling was simplified so it would be easier for surgeons to apply and not such a tricky procedure. You can actually see my video on the http://www.mcminncentre.co.uk/ website. My 15 minutes of internet fame 🙂 Cheers, Marc LBMHR 26/05/06 McMinn RBMHR 02/11/06 McMinn |
