March 1, 2020 10 year anniversary
March 17th is my 10 year anniversary with no pain due to resurfacing of my right hip. It was recalled a couple years ago and when I went in to see the doctor he said as long as I was not having issues it was fine, which I knew already and would never have it removed. I had a hip resurfaced in 2006. I am a competitive (old fart category) swimmer. I had a good postop recovery and rehab and was active again fairly quickly. I have been pleasantly surprised that the strength and flexibility of my operated hip has continued to improve with PT/exercise even 2 years plus post surgery. PT and patience.

Hi Everyone, I waited for a few days before sharing my experience. I had a RBHR by Dr. Peter Brooks on Dec 5th at Euclid Hospital-Cleveland Clinic. I was very anxious before surgery thinking of course of all the potential complications.
I came home to Tallmadge, Ohio (about 40 miles from Hospital) on Sat afternoon. I was able to complete the tests they want you to do for discharge. These were mostly demonstrating crutch mobility. … Read the rest
