I’m totally stoked about my new hip and am moving along well. Many times throughout the day I’m not even using the cane I have.
PT personal are “impressed” with my progress in such a short amount of time post op.
My plans are to be back framing custom homes by December and also riding my dirt bike by spring.

I had my RBHR 7 weeks ago and my Left hip will be done on Nov 9, 2010 with Dr. Marc Anderson. The right side is getting stronger every day and no more groin pain in the right side, thank God. It will be nice to have both sides done so I can get back to Life.

May 21, 2008 I had a hip resurfacing done on May 8th by Dr. Andrew Yun at St. Johns in Santa Monica. Now that the swelling in my leg is down I feel much better. Today might be the first day without painkillers for me!

I had a left HR done on 1/30/08 and played my first 18 on 4/26. Not a pretty sight. I think the left hip is slightly more impeded in the golf swing, at least it was for me. I am no single digit handicapper, but for me inside 3 months was a bit too soon.

I am 2 weeks post op tomorrow and my home PT tried to remove my staples today and the skin has started healing around the staples. It was so painful and he actually bent 3 removers (all that he had with him) and only managed to remove 3 of more than 20. February 23, 2011 I had suffered with pain in my right hip for a couple of years. It came and went and was a nuisance more than anything else. November 30, 2009 My right hip was resurfaced with the Birmingham appliance/method; I am scheduled for the left hip in 5 weeks (12.29). November 8, 2010 Bilateral BHR surgery was performed by Dr Scott Marwin at NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases on 9/28/10. 61 year old male 6’1 220# good physical condition. Required 2 units of Blood due to blood loss and resulting low blood count. Incisions were 10-12″ 38/44 staples Transferred to Acute Rehab (Rusk Rehabilitation) resident in hospital on 10/2/10.
